Magic, white and black, a battle between good and evil, treachery and betrayal. This book has so many twists and is well thought out. Lorena, just orphaned is told that her mother isn’t who she thought she was. Her new aunt, the Queen Fiona tries to win her trust for her own ends.
Lorena has to survive and find the truth. I love books on magic and this one completely captivated me. I’ve read previous books by this author and was excited about this one and I was not disappointed. Great read. A must for those who love magic.

Once again a gem from Chantal Bellehumeur! She is definitely a brilliant storyteller, and I could easily picture myself on a campfire, listening to her captivating stories for hours! I've had the privilege of reading most of her stories and yet she still manages to surprise me with her vivid imagination and an excellent writing style.
If you're looking for something believable and hooking, this is it! There's something so real in Bellehumeur's stories that even the fantasy feels true.

Actually I really enjoyed this. I've read a few of this author's books in the past, and again I wasn't let down. It has unique characters and an interesting world, exciting writing and story. A five star story and look forward to more from the author.

I have enjoyed this author's books from the very first one. This fantasy story is another departure for her and didn't disappoint. It kept me interested and entertained all the way to the end. And for the record; I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book happily.

I really enjoyed this book! It was very entertaining with many clever ideas scattered throughout. I became endeared to the main character and looked forward to seeing how the story would unfold. I wasn't let down!
