First, the unusual title is the word backwards, written backwards. I will not explain that further as it is a key part of the story. An elderly professor and a young student of his named Lina find a portal to another world that the professor has previously discovered and passed through. This is not luck but predestination. This other world has been divided by two competing queens, one evil and one good, into the dark side and the bright side. The story involves the tussle between these two queens for the supremacy of their world. The author has crafted an absolutely amazing fantasy adventure here that will leave all readers in awe of her creativity. Do not miss this one!

This story has everything a kid could hope for. Creatures beyond your imagination, battle between the dark and the bright and a secret place that no one in the real world knows exists. Well, no one except Professor Alfonso and Lina. I wonder why Pixar hasn't picked this one yet as this story would be perfect as a movie, too. So, if you have kids say age 9 and up, do them a favor and get this book for them. They'll thank you later!

Sdrawkcab tells the fantastic story of a college student and her professor who travel into a magical world in which this book is named. There they run into all sorts of monsters and mythological creatures. Overall I enjoyed reading this and look forward to more from this author.

I loved the story. It would be really cool if they made a 3D movie.  (Not computer animated or cartoon, but with real people.)

Lina and the Professor go on a fantastic journey together into the magical land of Sdrawkcab. Everything in this land is not what it seems. In fact, everything is strange and usual. There is a good side where the sun shines and the land is rich and beautiful. There is also a dark side where the bad queen is trying to bring down the good queen, known as the Bright Queen.
The pair need to save the Queen by collecting the magical stones that were stolen from her crown by the dark queen. She hid them all over the dark land in the most dangerous of places. Lina and the Professor, with the help of flying horses and elves, have to face giant spider webs, roaring volcanoes, vampires and that's just to name a few . There's even one hidden in the eye of a giant Cyclops.
The book is fast moving and is loaded with details that any young reader will enjoy. To discover the missing stones they have to battle trolls, mud monsters, zombies, vampires, sea monsters and a whole lot more. They even have to battle a carnivorous T Rex but are helped by gentle herbivore dinosaurs.
There are many plot twists which will keep any reader hooked. Lina finds herself in a coma at one point and the Professor is turned into a werewolf.  Also just when Lina is ready to deliver all the magic stones to the Bright Queen the Dark Shadow kidnaps the Professor and will only release him if Lina gives him the stones.
I particularly liked the elves and the two headed lions. This is a fast moving story that many young readers will appreciate and fall in love with. It contains all the elements of fantasy that they are familiar with but these are embellished with ideas that add to the uniqueness of this book.
